Art is the process or product of deliberately arranging elements in a way that appeals to the sense of emotions. It encompasses a diverse range of human activities, creations, and modes of expression, including music, literature, film, sculpture, and paintings. The meaning of art is explored in a branch of philosophy known as aesthetics.

Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) was an artistic virtuoso who co-founded Cubism, and produced an astounding 20,000 paintings, prints, drawings, and sculptures during his brilliant 70-year career. Picasso`s unparalleled body of work was so vast, and its phases so unique, that art historians have divided it into spesific periods.

A child pridogy, Picasso took advanced classes at the Royal Academy of Art in Barcelona when he was only 15. His revolutionary Cubist works, with their distorted shapes and fragmented forms,, established art as a genre that does not need to literally represent reality. Zealuosly embracing every medium from primitive art to sketches to Surrealism, Picasso had unrivaled influnce upon 20th century art.

indigeneous australians~~

The indigenous of Australian.

Indigenous Australians are ancestor of the first human inhabitants of the Australian continent and its nearby islands. The group includes both the Torres Straits Islanders and the Aboriginal People, who together make up about 2.5% of Australia’s population.

The Torres Straits Islanders are indigenous Australians who live in the Torres Straits Islands between Australia and New Guinea. Indigenous Australians are recognised to have arrived between 40,000 and 70,000 years ago.

The term Indigenous Australians encompasses many diverse communities and societies, and these are further divided into local communities with unique cultures. Less than 200 of the languages of these groups remain in use and there 20 are highly endangered.

It is estimated that prior to the arrival of European settlers the populations of indigenous Australians was up to 1 million.

Although the culture and lifestyle of Aboriginal groups have much in common, Aboriginal society is not a single entity.

The diverse Aboriginal communities have different ways of subsistence, cultural practices, languages, and technologies. However, these peoples also share a larger part of traits, and are otherwise seen as being broadly related.

These are include Koori (or Koorie) in New South Wales and Victoria; Murri inQueensland; Noongar in southern Western Australia; Yamatjiin Central Western Australia; Wangkai in the Western Australian Goldfields; Nunga in southern South Australia; Anangu in northern South Australia, and neighbouring parts of Western Australia and Northern Territory; Yapa in western central Northern Territory;Yolngu in eastern Arnhem Land (NT) and Palawah (or Pallawah) in Tasmania.

These larger groups may be further subdivided. For example, Anangu (meaning a person from Australia's central desert region) recognizes localized subdivisions such as Yankunytjatjara, Pitjantjatjara, Ngaanyatjara, Luritja and Antikirinya.

Religious demography among Indigenous Australians is not conclusive because of flaws in the census.

This 1996 census reported that almost 72% of Aborigines practiced some form of Christianity, and 16% listed no religion. There has also been an increase in the growth of Islam among the Indigenous Australian community.

In most stories of the Dreaming, the Ancestor spirits came to the earth in human form and as they moved through the land, they created the animals, plants, rocks and other forms of the land that we know today. They also created the relationships between groups and individuals to the land, the animals and other people.

HOT N COLD- KATY PERRY

You change your mind
Like a girl changes clothes
Yeah you, PMS
Like a bitch I would know
And you over think
Always speak
Crypticly
I should know
That you're no good for me
{CHORUS
Cause you're hot then you're cold
You're yes then you're no
You're in then you're out
You're up then you're down
You're wrong when it's right
It's black and it's white
We fight, we break up
We kiss, we make up (you)
You don't really want to stay, no (but you)
But you don't really want to go-o
You're hot then you're cold
You're yes then you're no
You're in and you're out
You're up and you're down
We used to be
Just like twins
So in sync
The same energy
Now's a dead battery
Used to laugh bout nothing
Now your plain boring
I should know that
You're not gonna change
{CHORUS}
Someone call the doctor
Got a case of a love bi-polar
Stuck on a roller coaster
Can't get off this ride
You change your mind
Like a girl changes clothes

gender discrimination..

GENDER DISCRIMINATION

This discrimination not only happened internationally but it also happened commonly inMalaysia. The victim of this discrimination is commonly woman. Discrimination can be defined as treating one person or group worse than other.

The newest gender discrimination is about a Canadian judge says the International Olympic Committee is clearly discriminating against female ski jumpers by not including their event in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.

The society around us always discriminated that the engineering, electrical, or mechanical courses is only suitable for the boys and not suitable for girls. They also think that girls only suitable working and studying in educational field. They should change their old-fashioned thinking.

.

Some says that women only should stay at home take care of children and do all the housework instead of working at the office. They also say that women should not be given too much education. This is because that most of them in the end will get marry and become fulltime housewife.

People in this new millennium should wide their mind and always think positive to this gender issues and the same time treated men and women in the same way.

COMMUNICATION

Hi there...This week I will share with you about COMMUNICATION. Communication a process of transferring information from one entity to another. Communication can be perceived as a two-way process in which there is an exchange and progression of thoughts, feelings, or ideas towards a mutually accepted goal or direction. There are several type of communication such as:

  • Telecommunication
  • Gestures
  • Visual communication
  • Mass communication
  • Written communication
  • Digital communication
  • Communication systems for the disabled

There are three major parts in human face to face communication which are body language, voice tonality, and words :

  • 55% of impact is determined by body language—postures, gestures, and eye contact,
  • 38% by the tone of voice,
  • 7% by the content or the words used in the communication process.

Many people think that communication is nothing more than talking a lot and speaking clearly. However, in reality, good communication is far complicated than that. One of the most important points in good communication is that listening is just as important as speaking.Communication can be helped considerably if the listener makes an effort to understand the speaker`s feelings.

In conclusion, there`s a lot more to good communication than simply talking at length. Active listening techniques and avoidance of factors that will cause the message to become confused are all things that a good communicator will try to do.

Harajuku Society in Japan

HARAJUKU....

Harajuku is a common name for Harajuku station on the Yamanote line in the Shibuya-ward of Tokyo, Japan, adjacent to Yoyogi park line and within a comfortable walking distance from shinjuku.

It is a wild and crazy place best seen on a sunday or any other holidays where you can find teenagers wearing famous cosplay style, anime, or other gothic type of
costumes right
outside the stations or street performers
acting out for a little extra money.

History of Harajuku

Harajuku as it now traces its root to the end of world war 2 where U.S. soldiers began to occupy the area known as Harajuku. it soon became an area where young people gather together to experinence a different culture. After the Olympics, the young people who hung out in the area, frequently referred to as the Harajuku-zoku, began to develop a distinct culture and a unique style. from this distinct style grew the culture of Harajuku as a gathering ground for youths and as a fashion mecca.

The term "Harajuku girls" has been used by english language media to describe teenagers dressed in any fashion style who are in the area of Harajuku. These girls may be members of various sub-cultures including Gothic Lolita, Ganguro and Kogal.

One nice thing about Japanese and their Harajuku fashion, is that it's not a matter of shops and brands instructing what people wear, but teenagers instructing what the shops will start selling.Nowadays there are many clothes and websites which sell harajuku fashion but the spirit of this japanese style has come up from teenagers not being in deep confusion to customise and accessorise their own clothes, and to wear crazy outfits with a sense of humour to retaliate against social expectations of nice clothes, nice jobs, nice attitudes.
